Everybody always tells you to enjoy your school years as they will be the best of your life.

But for most people who are living through that time, they respond to that comment with an eye roll and take little notice.

Eventually people realise that in between the fear of realising you forgot to do your homework (again), the awkwardness of having to hold hands with someone during ballroom dancing (if you went to Plymstock School) and the dread of having to play rugby in the freezing cold, it was actually a really good time.

Some make friends for life and that could start from the second you enter primary school.

Others lose contact but pick up where they left off when they happen to bump into each other in the local supermarket.

And occasionally a person might be lucky (or unlucky, depending on who it is) enough to bump into an old teacher that they can reminisce with.

To bring some of those memories flooding back we have delved into the Plymouth Live archives and found some school pictures from the early noughties.

So have a look and see if you can spot someone you know. The picture were all taken between 2000-2005.

Now you have had a look through the collection of pictures, have you seen a familiar face?

If you have then let us know by commenting in the comments below. Also let us know what school you went to and what your favourite memory is.
