A38 Harcombe Bends Eastbound partially blocked, slow traffic due to broken down car between Marsh Lane (Harcombe Cross, Chudleigh) and A38 (Racecourse Junction, Kennford).
Police release more details after fatal crash near Chiverton Cross
Police have this morning released more details about a fatal crash that closed an A30 link road for seven hours yesterday.
The B3277 Penwinnick Road was shut in both directions between (Chiverton Cross) and to Sevenmilestone Garage, due to a collision involving two vehicles, frpom around 1.30pm
In a statement police said: “Police, fire and ambulance were called just before 1.30pm yesterday [24 June] following the collision on the B3277 close to Chiverton Cross, Cornwall between a Vauxhall Astra and a Mazda MX5.
“The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 60-year-old woman from Redruth was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.”
Long delays on A30 in Cornwall

Delays on A30 Westbound between Zelah / St Allen turn offs and Chiverton Cross Roundabout. Travel time is 18 minutes.
Met Office forecast for South west England
Morning! It’s a dry start here in Plymouth, but rain is falling in the east of Devon - and another band of rain is sweeping in across Cornwall.
However, the Met Office says morning showers will give way to a mainly dry day with warm sunshine.
Today:
Showery rain across northeastern parts of the region at first, locally heavy before clearing northwards. Otherwise largely dry and turning increasingly sunny, especially across Cornwall and Devon. Feeling warm and humid for most, perhaps sparking the odd heavy shower later. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
Tonight:
Mostly dry overnight but becoming cloudier, with mist and fog developing over hills and moors. Scattered showers may spread in at the end of the night. Staying warm and humid. Minimum temperature 14 °C.
Wednesday:
Mainly dry and cloudy to start, but brightening up for many. A further risk of heavy showers in parts of Cornwall and Devon later. Gusty winds to west of hills. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Perhaps the odd shower in the far southwest early on Thursday, otherwise dry, increasingly sunny and very warm, perhaps hot in places. Slowly clouding over and turning fresher through Saturday.
