One man is in custody following a suspected assault outside a takeaway in Plymouth.
Police were called to the City Charcoal Grill in Mutley at 8.44pm following reports of a disturbance in the area.
They found a man with head injuries following an alleged assault by another man.
The duty police force incident manager for Devon and Cornwall Police gave more details on the incident.
He said: "We were called at 20.44 to the City Charcoal Grill in Mutley.
"There were reports of a single male assaulting another male, who has received head injuries.
"We have one in custody."
No more details are available at this time. It is understood that those in the area were aware of the incident and a number of police vehicles and officers attended the scene.
