There is an ongoing police incident at Plymstock Broadway this afternoon.

A section of the shopping precinct has been taped off by police officers. Two police cars are being used to tape off a section of the car park and a white car is at the centre of the cordon.

It is believed there may have been a car accident earlier on this afternoon, but we are confirming this with the police.

The car park itself is not owned by the Broadway team, but Plymouth City Council.

Devon and Cornwall Police has been approached for more information.

A passer-by said: "There was someone sat in the back passenger side of the white car, feet on the curb stone. That was it. Police are sat in their vehicles. No one seems to know why."

Live updates will follow in the blog below.
