Police have been called to an incident involving a large group of teenagers in the city centre tonight.

There has been a major police response to the incident at Frankfort Gate, near KFC, which kicked off at about 8pm.

Police are currently at the scene making enquiries.

Plymouth Live reporter Katie Timms at the scene says there are about 15 - 20 youths aged between 15 - 18.

“We have a large group of youths. Police are at the scene. Whatever the problem was it’s been resolved but now we are trying to work out what the problem was.”

Two police cars and a riot van at the scene

Plymouth Live reporter at the scene said: “It’s not clear what’s happened but there are two police cars and one riot van and loads of kids near to the shop Hive Mind.

“I would say there are about 15 - 18 teenagers in their mid to late teens. A few of them are on their bikes.

“Officers are speaking to a few of them.”
