One man who tried to drive a large vehicle while way over the legal alcohol limit was banned from the road for FOUR years.

THEFT:

RYAN NORTHMORE, aged 33, of Cromer Walk, Southway: possession of a Stanley knife in a public place and theft of food and drink worth £50 from Tesco in Notte Street – 18-month community order with 100 hours unpaid work and the thinking skills course, fined £60, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

DRINK:

KESTUTIS BERNOTAS, aged 29, of Bute Road, Mannamead: drink-driving – banned from driving for 14 months, fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

NATHAN BRADDON, aged 30, of Antony Gardens, Pennycross: drink-driving, driving without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to answer bail – 12-month community order with 110 hours unpaid work, banned from driving for 24 months, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

ANDREW JOHN CLARK, aged 36, of HMS Drake, Devonport: attempting to drive a large goods vehicle or passenger goods vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit – fined £2,000, banned from driving for 48 months, ordered to pay £170 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

MARTIN SYLVESTER, aged 32, of Ashton Way, Saltash: drink-driving and causing criminal damage to a phone – 12-month community order with two-week curfew and the Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £250 compensation.

ALEXANDER VELLA, aged 29, of Peryn Road, Tavistock: drink-driving – banned from driving for 14 months, fined £166, ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

EMILY WALL, aged 20, of Fountains Crescent, Pennycross: drink-driving – banned from driving for 16 months, fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

JAMES ANTHONY BARRETT, aged 30, of Brook Street, Tavistock: possession of cocaine and two counts of possession of cannabis – fined £200 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge.

ROBERT EARL, aged 52, of Hawthorn Way, Efford: possession of crack cocaine: fined £134, ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
