A teenage boy is set to appear in youth court later this month charged with robbing a convenience store in Millbridge.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on June 5 at Stonehouse bridge, just a few hours after allegedly targeting the Premier store in Molesworth Road.

The teen, who is from Saltash, is alleged to have entered the store at 12.45pm and threatened the cashier with a weapon.

He was taken to Charles Cross police station for questioning before being charged and then released on bail.

Police have confirmed the teen will appear at Plymouth Youth Court on the morning of June 27.
