Are you one of those Plymouth Argyle fans that stands in awe as the huge 'We Are Argyle' surfer flag is proudly passed above the heads of the Green Army?

Are you one of those Plymouth Argyle fans that pulls your phone out of your pocket, takes a picture and posts it on your Facebook or Twitter page, marvelling at the hard work and financial input of others?

Well, now you have the opportunity to play a part in PAFC Display's most ambitious project yet as they seek to raise £400 to cover the cost of an even bigger surfer flag that they plan to unveil at the club's first home game of the season.

PAFC Displays are the group of supporters responsible for the impressive 'We Are Argyle' flag that is proudly held aloft by home fans, as well as many other colourful displays that have been seen at Home Park in recent years.

But now, they have a green, white and black design in place and want to raise as much money as possible. After all, the more money raised, the bigger the flag can be, according to PAFC Display's Nick Tomlinson, 30.

"We plan to have a banner to wording not yet decided upon," Tomlinson said. "But the theme will be around the fact it is a new era for the club and a new beginning.

"The big flag was just the beginning of our ambitions. The club have been amazing with everything we have done especially Jamie Yabsley. They have supported us in everything we have done.

"The more we raise the longer this flag could be so it is literally down to donations. If we get £800-900 it could cover the whole Devonport end

Such displays are not cheap, though, and the fan group are always grateful for any financial assistance they can get to make Home Park one of the most atmospheric and colourful stadiums in League Two.

PAFC Displays also have stickers, beach towels and other such items on sale, the profits of which go towards their display plans.

To donate to the cause, or to purchase the items on sale, simply go to the PAFC Display's website, by clicking here

If people would like to donate via bank transfer, the group has a treasurers bank account set up. Simply email the group at pafcdisplays@gmail.com and they will send the groups bank details.
