Children's TV favourite Rastamouse will be performing in Plymouth this summer, it has been announced.

Crime-busting mouse reggae band Rastamouse and Da Easy Crew will headline the children's stage at Love Summer Festival in Newnham Park, Plympton, on August 11.

Popular CBeebies show Rastamouse features an all-mouse reggae band who play music at the 'Nuff Song Studio' when they're not solving mysteries for the President of Mouseland.

The programme ran from January 31 2011 to June 15 2015.

Love Summer Festival describes itself as "family orientated" with plenty of events for youngsters.

The festival runs from August 7 to 12.

Headliners include Dave Pearce, Chopstick Dubplate, My Bad Sister and Brandon Block.

Other attractions at Love Summer Festival are 'stress free' glamping, local food providers and a range of children's entertainment.

The festival's website states: "We are a small independent festival in the heart of South Devon.

"This will be our 9th year of producing the event and to keep it small enough to be friendly but still big enough to have a proper party we limit overall attendance including Performers and Crew to 2,500."

Weekend tickets cost £85 for adults and £30 for children.
