Here's how you can see the boat race taking place around Portsmouth Harbour this week

The Portsmouth Pull, organised by charity Oarsome Chance, will see five-person teams rowing 10km around the harbour, funding programmes that will be run to support disadvantaged young people.

Oarsome Chance principal John Gillard said: '˜This week's Portsmouth Pull is gearing up to be a really competitive event and the battle is on to break the course record.

'˜This is an important fundraising event for us, so as well as some great fun on the water, it's raising vital funds to run our programmes for disadvantaged young people.'

The race will begin and finish at 12.30pm at Oarsome Chance HQ at St Vincent College, with the race taking in Spinnaker Tower, HMS Victory, Portchester Castle and Gosport's Millennium Bridge.

One of the five squads, Team Seahorse, is confident of lifting the trophy after reaching the finish line.

The team is made up of the Seahorse Restaurant and Bar's head chef Kris Buxey-Hall, bartender Liam Capper and customers Rob Coates and Paul Proctor overseen by an experienced cox from Oarsome Chance.

Abby Thomson, owner of the Seahorse Restaurant and Bar in Gosport, said: '˜They've been out training, they loved it and they're on a mission.

'˜Everyone at the pub is behind them and we reckon they're in with a good chance.'

Team Seahorse will be up against teams from Clipper Ventures PLC, the international marine events company, Hardway Sailing Club, the Greig City Academy in London and Oarsome Chance staff and volunteers.

Oarsome Chance works with disadvantaged children in Portsmouth, Gosport and Havant.
