Portsmouth midfielder's Charlton dismissal overturned
Ben Thompson's three-match ban has been overturned.
The Blues yesterday appealed referee John Brooks' decision to issue a red card to the midfielder following a challenge with Charlton's Lyle Taylor.
The controversial moment arrived in stoppage time during Tuesday night's 2-1 Fratton Park defeat to the Addicks.
However, the Football Association this afternoon agreed it was a case of wrongful dismissal, overruling the decision.
It ensures Thompson is available for Saturday's trip to Barnsley.
