¯ SILVER CREEK — Christine L. Gard, 39, of Silver Creek was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies were called Sunday at 6:02 p.m. to an area on Jackson Street in Silver Creek to check the well-being of a woman and small child. An investigation found that Gard was visibly intoxicated and unable to care for the child. Gard was taken into custody and will appear in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date. The child was released to other family members.

¯ HANOVER — Landon H. Lashomb, 34, of Irving was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Deputies responded Sunday to Routes 5 at 20 in Hanover for a disorderly person walking in traffic. An investigation found that Lashomb was impeding and disrupting the flow of traffic on Route 5 and 20. While being taken into custody, Lashomb allegedly resisted arrest. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Venilda T. Barringer, 36, of Dewittville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a BAC of .08% or greater and speed in zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 12:45 a.m. on Route 430 in the town of Chautauqua for a speed violation. An investigation found that Barringer was intoxicated. Barringer was taken into custody and released with tickets to appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.

¯ NORTH HARMONY — Michael R. Keyser, 37, of Buffalo was charged with DWI, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, failure to signal turn and refuse preliminary breath test. Deputies responded Sunday at 12:47 a.m. to a stopped vehicle on Magnolia Stedman Road in the Town of North Harmony for failing to signal a turn. An investigation found that Keyser was intoxicated. Deputies attempted to place him in custody, at which time he allegedly resisted. Keyser was eventually taken into custody, and while at the Sheriff’s Office he reportedly damaged a wall. Keyser was held at the jail for arraignment.

¯ HANOVER — Emilee L. Gallivan, 21, of Silver Creek was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC over .08% and driving/wrong direction on one way street. Deputies stopped a vehicle Monday at 3:15 a.m. in Hanover for a traffic violation. An investigation found that Gallivan was driving in an intoxicated state. She is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court later to answer the charges.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Tiana L. Ruiz, 19, of Dunkirk was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol combined and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies stopped a vehicle Monday on Howard Street in Silver Creek for a traffic infraction. Ruiz was interviewed and later taken into custody following an investigation. She was taken to Lakeshore Hospital for a blood draw and issued appearance tickets to be in Silver Creek Village Court later to answer the charges.

¯ BEMUS POINT — David L. Dickerson, 67, of Bemus Point was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Investigators with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation received a complaint of a suspicious situation which occurred in the fall of 2017. An investigation found that Dickerson allegedly acted in a way that was dangerous to two juvenile’s physical, moral and mental welfare. Dickerson was arraigned in Ellery Town Court.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Kevin M. Schunk, 28, of Silver Creek was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies observed a suspicious vehicle Monday at 8:44 p.m. on Central Avenue in Silver Creek. An investigation found that Schunk was allegedly in possession of small quantities of marijuana, cocaine and LSD. He was issued appearance tickets to be in Silver Creek Village Court later to answer the charges.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Nancy L. Gregory, 48, of Jamestown was charged with failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right, no/improper turn signal, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se at 11:40 p.m. Sunday on Foote Avenue near Harrison Street. Officers report pulling over a light-colored sedan for allegedly speeding. Gregory reportedly submitted a chemical test that showed her blood-alcohol content was over the legal limit. She will be in Jamestown City Court later.

¯ Ashley L. Inserra, 31, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded Tuesday at 2:05 a.m. to the area of Beech Street for a domestic incident. Officers talked to the male and female, and determined that Inserra was the primary aggressor and damaged a computer tower belonging to the male. Upon checking the well-being of the children inside, officers found them to be sleeping in deplorable unsanitary conditions. Inserra was held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ Larry L. Casey III, 28, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. Officers responded Monday at 8:44 p.m. to 7-Eleven on East Second Street for a shoplifting complaint. Casey was located a short distance away and transported to Jamestown City Jail.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Wesley J. Paulisick, 42, of Falconer was charged with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child at 1:15 p.m. Saturday after officers responded to an East Elmwood Avenue, Falconer, address for a report of a disorderly, intoxicated man. Paulisick was allegedly in the back yard of the home when officers arrived. It was reported Paulisick had been inside the home yelling, swearing and throwing a beer bottle against the wall, all while a young child was in the home. Paulisick was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ Michael Vrito, 44, was charged with second-degree harassment. Officers responded at 7:12 p.m. on Monday to an harassment complaint in the village of Celoron. An investigation found that Vrito struck a female in the chest and face several times. He was issued appearance tickets to be in Ellicott Town Court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Joshua Near, 30, of Bemus Point was charged with DWI. An investigation found that on Saturday, Near was doing burn-outs in his truck when he lost control and damaged a fence at a private residennce on Route 430 in Bemus Point. Nea reportedly fled the scene but was located a short time later. Near failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of .15%. Near is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court later.

¯ BEMUS POINT — Britani Newhouse, 27, of Mayville was charged with DWI. Newhouse was stopped Friday on Route 430 in Bemus Point for failing to dim high beams. Newhouse reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of .17%. Newhouse will answer the charge in Ellery Town Court later.
