Trailer, scaffolding stolen from Dover Township

A trailer and scaffolding valued around $4,000 was stolen from a Dover Township property over the weekend.

DOVER — A trailer and scaffolding valued around $4,000 were stolen from a Dover Township property over the weekend.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office received a report around 6:50 a.m. Monday that a black 2004 flatbed trailer with aluminum scaffolding on it was stolen from a property in the 15000 block of County Road 129 Southeast, Capt. Scott Behrns said.

The owner of the trailer had taken steps to prevent a theft but the padlock to the shed where the trailer was stored had been cut as well as the hitch lock, Behrns said. The tires of the trailer had been chained together as well.

The owner was able to follow tire drag tracks to the area of Minnesota Highways 30 and 74 southeast, Behrns said.
