NHS Highlands is calling on Caithness residents to give their views on the future of health provision in the far north.
The move will see residents canvassed for their ideas about how best to promote three months of public consultations into the future of health and social care services.
There will be two launch events next week in Wick and Thurso where attendees will be encouraged to put their own ideas forward about how to involve as many people as possible.
Locals will be asked for the best times for meetings to be held and will also be asked for their views about what promotional material would work best.
So far more than 100 people representing local groups and communities have been contacted directly.
Added to that are the representatives who took part in the “developing the options” workshops earlier this year are being encouraged to use their own networks to help promote the events.
After the launch events, NHS Highland intends to tailor draft consultation poster templates and promotional materials according to the ideas received.
It is hoped this approach will mean more local people will get behind the consultation and help to promote local events.
Christian Nicolson, NHS Highland’s N&W quality improvement lead, said: “One key function of the launch events next week is to specifically talk with local residents about how best to ‘advertise’ the consultation.
“While we will be setting out what meetings and events have been scheduled to take place, crucially we will very much welcome ideas from the attendees around these upcoming events and their timings.
He added: “Using these, the idea is we can reach out to as many people as possible.”
The Wick launch will take place at the Pulteneytown People’s Project on Huddart Street from 6 to 7pm on Monday.
The Thurso event will take place the following day, Tuesday, between also between 6 and 7pm at Caithness Horizons on the High Street.
