A teenager was tragically killed in a horror fireball car crash on a notorious Highland road.
Tributes have been paid to Samuel Foster, 18, a former pupil of Millburn Academy in Inverness, after the smash near Dochgarroch on Sunday night.
The teenager was heading west on the A82 just after 10pm when his blue Renault Clio was in collision with a silver Ford Galaxy.
The accident took place at the entrance to Dochgarroch just before the hamlet’s business park.
The female driver of the Galaxy suffered minor injuries.
Samuel’s car came to rest at the exit of a bus layby on the left hand side of the road heading west and caught fire.

Two fire appliances attended, extinguished the fire and made the scene safe before returning to base at around 11.30pm.
The road remained closed until around 7am as police launched an investigation.
Samuel was in the ‘Class of 2013’ of Millburn Academy.
On social media, schoolfriend Joe Gallagher posted: “RIP Sam, you affected so many and had the kindest heart I know, thoughts to your family, love you always man ❤️ Samuel.”
Phillip Rodgers posted: “Far too young another great young man taken from us thoughts are with family at this heartbreaking moment sleep tight bud.”
Millburn councillor Ian Brown said: “This is real shock, not something you expect to happen.
“When it happens to a local family, it really hits home.
“My sympathies are with the family at this terrible time.”
Sergeant Alasdair Mackay, of the road policing unit in the Highlands and Islands Division, said: “Our thoughts at this time are with those involved and their families and friends.
“An investigation into the collision is underway and we have already spoken to a number of witnesses.
“In order to help establish the cause of the collision I would urge anyone who may have seen either vehicle on the evening of the collision travelling on the A82 who has not already come forward, to do so.
“Likewise if any motorists believe they may have dashcam footage which could assist our inquiries, I appeal for them to come forward.”
