R.I. fundraisers, week of Aug. 16

The Newport Art Museum Virtual Benefit Art Auction will be held through Aug. 29 and will feature the work of 70 artists who have donated their artworks, including paintings, prints and photographs, and will be hosted via the online auction house Bidsquare. To view artwork and place bids, guests must register at newportartmuseum.org/BenefitAuction2020.

The Rhode Island Stage Ensemble Competitive Statewide Scavenger Hunt will be held Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. via RISE. Teams will meet at the Temple to Music, at Roger Williams Park, in Providence, and will attempt to score the most points by snapping photos, taking videos, following clues, gathering items, answering trivia questions and performing showtunes. Teams can include as many people as they want, but can only have three vehicles in play. The event is limited to 20 teams, so registration is required by emailing artisticdirector@ristage.org.
