A natural egg hunt

Kids ages 3 to 10 can hunt for brown eggs in a natural setting on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Audubon Society of Rhode Island's Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, 1401 Hope St., Bristol; Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, 12 Sanderson Rd., Smithfield; Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge, 99 Pardon Joslin Rd., Exeter; and Caratunk Wildlife Refuge, 301 Brown Ave., Seekonk. Party with robots

The Robot Block Party, a family festival that includes hands-on robotics activities, demonstrations and exhibits, will be held on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the WaterFire Arts Center, 475 Valley St., Providence. Daffodil Days Fest

Opening ceremonies will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bannister's and Bowen's wharves for Newport's Daffodil Days Festival, which runs through April 21. Also on Saturday, the Daffy Doggie Paw-Rade begins at Bannister's Wharf at 2 p.m. and ends at Queen Anne Square. newportdaffydays.com.

Lovecraft gathering

The annual gathering recognizing the life and literary contributions of Providence author H.P. Lovecraft will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ladd Observatory, 210 Doyle Ave., Providence. Lovecraft was an avid amateur astronomer and often visited the observatory as a teenager. Afterward, participants are invited to meet at Lovecraft's grave, in Swan Point Cemetery, on Blackstone Boulevard.
