Beach Boys coming back to Rhode Island this August

It may be the depths of winter, but summer is coming, and so are the Beach Boys.
The latest iteration of the band, featuring Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, will perform at Bold Point Park in East Providence on Friday, Aug. 16.
The Beach Boys were the first act to play Bold Point when the venue opened in the summer of 2017. More than 40 years ago, in 1977, about 40,000 came out to see the Beach Boys play at Narragansett Park in Pawtucket — an event believed to be the largest concert gathering in Rhode Island history.
