PROVIDENCE -- Police are investigating the robbery of the Speedway on Point Street Saturday.

Commander Thomas Verdi said police responded at about 2 p.m. to 83 Point St., where they spoke with store clerk Tiffany Paliotta, 26. The clerk told police that an unknown man knocked on the back door, entered the store, and told her that she’d “better open the drawer or he was going to stab her," according to police.

The man took all the money in the drawer, about $390, and threatened to kill her if she told anyone, Verdi said. No knife was seen, police said.

Nobody has been arrested, Verdi said.
