Woman dies after fall from third-floor window in Providence

PROVIDENCE -- Police are investigating the death of a woman who fell from a third-floor window.

Major David Lapatin said police found the woman dead in the driveway after responding to 75 Wendell St. early Sunday morning.

Investigators treated the incident as a homicide, but investigators are trying to determine whether the fall was accidental. Detectives do not believe she jumped from the window. The department should have more information about the woman's death after conferring with the medical examiner Monday, Lapatin said.
