Police responded to the Woonasquatucket River Greenway bike path entrance by Sheridan Street just before 6 p.m. and found a 12-year-old boy with an elbow injury. The victim, 12, told police he was riding his bike with his friend when two other boys lifted the front tire of his bicycle, making him fall back onto his elbow.

The boys threw him up against a wooden fence and stole his bike, a blue Trek mountain bike with black lettering, the boy told police.

The 12-year-old was treated by rescue for his elbow injury, police said.
