Documentary on Providence city councilwoman to premiere next month

“Councilwoman,” a documentary about Providence City Councilwoman Carmen Castillo, will premiere on the WORLD Channel on Sept. 3 at 8 p.m.

The bilingual film tells the story of Castillo’s first term in office as a councilwoman for Ward 9 (Elmwood and South Elmwood).

It will also be available for streaming on worldchannel.org, amdoc.org, PBS.org, and on PBS apps for iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast.

The film, directed by Margo Guernsey of Time Travel Productions, premiered in Providence in February.
