Three in custody after man stabbed in Providence

Three suspects are in custody after a man was stabbed Thursday night at Gordon and Gallop streets in Providence, the Providence police said.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition and went directly into surgery, said Providence police Maj. David Lapatin.

Witnesses identified three suspects and a vehicle, according to Lapatin. All three were apprehended, he said.
