Little League Softball: EG pounds Vermont, to face Delaware Monday

Teaghan Bristol drove home two runs and Ava Fairbanks also brought home a pair as East Greenwich’s bats came alive in its 12-1 win over Vermont in the losers’ bracket of the Little League Softball East Regional in Bristol, Conn. on Sunday.

Bristol and Fairbanks both went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Fairbanks scored two runs while Bristol scored once. Emma Manzo scored three runs to go with one RBI in the win and Brooke Fairbanks scored three runs.

Cat Neville scored one run and had one RBI and Layla Cameron and Emily Clarke also scored in the win. 

Ava Fairbanks threw five innings of one-run ball, striking out five.

East Greenwich plays again Monday at 1 p.m. against Delaware. The game can be watched online for subscribers of ESPN+.
