FOXBORO – Coming off a Monday night game, the Patriots held a walkthrough on Wednesday as the players prepare for the Cleveland Browns on a short week. It appeared that the Pats would have some reinforcements come this Sunday, but looks were deceiving.

Despite being present at the start of practice, Josh Gordon (knee/ankle) and Ryan Izzo (concussion) were both listed as “did not participate” on the Patriots practice report along with Matt LaCosse (knee) and Shaq Mason (ankle). Mason wasn’t on the injury report last week so it’s likely he suffered his injury on Monday against the New York Jets.

Gordon missed all of last week with a knee/ankle injury before missing the Patriots win over the Jets. Izzo suffered a concussion and missed Monday’s game. He’ll have to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol before returning.

Receiver Mohamed Sanu and special teamer Justin Bethel were also at their first Patriots practice. On top of that, Rex Burkhead (foot) and Patrick Chung (heel/chest) were at practice after missing Monday’s game, but were limited along with Julian Edelman (chest), Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) and Gunner Olszewski (ankle/hamstring).
