The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has invited bids for supply, installation and maintenance of standalone PV systems, with inverter and lead-acid batteries, at various government high schools, health sub-centres and Anganwadi Centres in Guwahati (Assam) and Ranchi (Jharkhand).
The aggregate standalone PV system capacity to be installed is 91.5 KWp—62.5 KWp across 14 sites in Guwahati (Assam) and 29 KWp across 12 sites in Ranchi (Jharkhand).
The UNDP will award the projects to two separate parties—one for Guwahati and the other for Ranchi—even if the quote of a single developer is found to be the lowest for both the locations.
To be eligible, the bidder should have completed three similar work orders together having minimum capacity of 10 KWp. Further, it must be profitable in the last two financial years with a minimum annual turnover of Rs 10 million in any of the last three financial years.
All the equipment (PV modules, inverters, batteries, cables, etc) should follow the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s guidelines.
Scope of work
The successful bidder would be required to design, procure, install and commission the rooftop/ground-mounted solar PV systems at the identified project sites with a life of 20 years. It shall also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plants for an initial period of two years. Thereafter, the UNDP may transfer the ownership of the project to Governments of Assam and Jharkhand or any of their departments or the individual sites or any other entity. The bidder should be ready to provide operations and maintenance services after two years of commissioning to the UNDP or to the new owner.
