Rangers have been forced to close part of Ibrox for next week’s return leg against Legia Warsaw by UEFA [Rangers.co.uk] – and it’s fair to say the club’s fans aren’t happy.
The sectarian nonsense in the stands continues to be a real blight on Rangers and the decision by UEFA simply must be a wake-up call to supporters.
It cannot continue without damaging the club’s brand and the reputation of supporters. Rangers fans took to Twitter to criticise those fans who forced UEFA’s hand.

These supporters cannot be any more clear – it’s time to ditch any sectarian chanting at Ibrox.
The club continues to reiterate how essential this is moving forward, as the board looks to build a modern football brand which is attractive in the global marketplace.
The launch of the Everyone, Anyone inclusivity campaign – which was warmly welcomed by politicians – is a step in this direction.
But incidents such as this are detrimental the club’s finances, the club’s reputation and to the club’s chance of success on the pitch.
Rangers fans simply must stand up to this at Ibrox and call-out unacceptable behaviour when they see it.
No whataboutery, no denial, no excuses. This continues to be frustrating, unacceptable baggage attached to the club.
Rangers have an amazing support, an amazing stadium and are an amazing club. It’s time some supporters started acting like it.
