A CHARITY providing life-saving support has received a cash injection of more than £10,000.

The huge sum was gathered through a series of contributions and presented to Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) by Berkshire Freemasons.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation and Masonic Charity donated the majority of the funds, while a further £2,000 came from '100 of Bray' Lodge in Wokingham.

Anthony Howlett-Bolton, the Leader of Berkshire Freemasons, said: “We are thrilled to continue supporting the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

"Thanks to the tireless efforts of their doctors, paramedics and pilots, many lives of local people are saved every year.”

Freemasons have donated more than £76,500 to air ambulance charities across the country over the last 10 years.

TVAA operates across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, providing frontline emergency medical care.

Neil Harman, director of fundraising at TVAA, added: “We are very grateful to Berkshire Freemasons for their continuing generosity.

"Without support like this our crew would not be able to provide advanced critical care and our life-saving work could not continue.”

The charity relies entirely on grants and donations. Visit: tvairambulance.org.uk for more information.
