Staff reports
Shasta County's Most Wanted logo

Shasta's Most Wanted, featured in the Record Searchlight in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, targets people who have failed to show up in court for sentencing after being convicted.

Police have said court appearances have gone up since the rollout of the program.

The total number of Shasta County Most Wanted subjects arrested now stands at 1,075.

Several new people are added each week. Those on the list are urged to turn themselves in to local law enforcement or at the Shasta County Jail. Those caught will be held until at least their next court appearances.

Anyone with information about those on the Most Wanted list is asked to call SHASCOM at 245-6540. The feature appears Sundays in the Record Searchlight's State/Local section and on Redding.com.
