LOCAL running club Redditch STARS have raised £1,000 to help fund the work of local charity the Primrose Hospice.

Members of Adult, Junior, and Astros sections have spent the past year raising money for the hospice, their chosen charity for the year.

A cheque was handed to Amy Flemming who is a fundraiser from Primrose Hospice to help them continue their valuable work.

The club will be voting on which charity to support in the coming weeks and are hoping to improve on this year’s total.

Redditch STARS was established in March 2015 and has quickly become known as one of the friendliest and most recognisable running clubs in town.

Starting out as a Sunday morning group they now have seven different sections and runs its popular Couch to 5K courses.

If you wish to make a contribution to the charities they support or to join the club, visit www.redditchstars.co.uk.

Ages six and over are very welcome.
