Sweetwater grad Lawrence shines in North Texas' loss to Louisiana Tech

How Big Country Division I football players fared last week

Michael Lawrence – Former Sweetwater player, a senior at North Texas, had two catches for a team-best 79 yards, including one touchdown, as the Mean Green lost 52-17 to Louisiana Tech.

Dion Novil – Former Wylie player, a junior at North Texas, had two tackles for the Mean Green.

Abram Smith – Former Abilene High player, a redshirt sophomore at Baylor, saw action as the unbeaten Bears won 29-23 over TCU in triple overtime.

Myller Royals – Former Cooper player, a redshirt freshman at Texas Tech, saw action as the Raiders won 38-17 over West Virginia.

Coy McMillon – Former Abilene High player, a redshirt sophomore at TCU, started at center in the Frogs’ 29-23 triple-overtime loss to Baylor.

Baylen Baker – Former Wylie player, a senior at Texas-San Antonio, had one tackle as the Roadrunners won 24-23 over Old Dominion.

Justin Wright – Former Cooper player, a redshirt freshman at Tulsa, saw action as the Golden Hurricane won 34-31 over Central Florida.

Blake Aragon – Former Stephenville player, a redshirt freshman at Texas State, had one catch for 5 yards as the Bobcats won 30-28 over South Alabama.
