LAS VEGAS – After endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders for president in October, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will appear with the candidate at a Las Vegas rally next week.

An effort to propel Sanders to win the Democratic nomination, the rally is set for Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the gym of Chaparral High School, 3850 Annie Oakley Dr.

This will be Ocasio-Cortez’s first visit to Nevada since she endorsed him in October.

The progressive star's endorsement of Sanders was a major boon for the 78-year-old Vermont senator, who has faced questions over his health since suffering a heart attack in Las Vegas.

The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is encouraged.
