Reno man linked to bar shooting is among 110 arrested in a police operation

Devin Lascano, 27, was booked April 11 into the Washoe County jail on two charges of battery with a deadly weapon for his alleged involvement in a shooting at a bar in downtown Reno. All arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

Law enforcement officers arrested a man, whom they believe was involved in a shooting at a Reno nightclub three years ago, as part of a large-scale operation aimed at fighting crime and violence.

The two-week effort, led by the U.S. Marshals Service, resulted in the arrests of 110 people wanted on numerous felony charges in multiple states.

Investigators also seized nine firearms and various drugs as part of the operation, authorities said in a news release on Friday.

Devin Lascano, 27, was wanted for his alleged involvement in shooting at 1 Up Bar in downtown Reno. The shooting reportedly stemmed from a fight that involved several men.

Authorities said Lascano grabbed a handgun from his friend’s hand and shot another man, who was also involved in the fight, and a female victim. 

Lascano was arrested last week without incident on two charges of battery with a deadly weapon. His arrest was one among several, most of which occurred in the Las Vegas area.

Here’s a look at a few notable arrests:

  • Tyrone Tyler, 25, was arrested on April 8 in Las Vegas. He was a known Neighborhood Crip and was wanted for allegedly conspiring to commit murder. He also faces a charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. The charges stem from a shooting that followed a family dispute. One victim suffered severe internal injuries after he was shot in his spine and in his arm.
  • Christopher William Pallotti, 53, was arrested on April 15 in Pahrump. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office was searching for him charges related to credit card fraud. He is also a person of interest in an ongoing homicide investigation linked to the fraud charges.
  • Johnathan Patrick Cronin, 29, was arrested on April 11 in Las Vegas. The former Sierra Vista High School teacher was taken into custody by officers with the Clark County School District Police Department. He faces four counts of engaging in a sex act with a student at the age of 16 or older. He also faces four counts of open and gross lewdness and one count of exhibiting, distributing or selling obscene material to a minor. Cronin, who goes by the name “Jonny,” was hired as a teacher in 2016. He was being held at the Clark County Detention Center with a bail totaling $25,000.
  • Kevin Stubbs, 32, was arrested on April 9 in Las Vegas. The known Aryan Warrior gang member was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for allegedly assaulting someone with a deadly weapon. He also faces a charge of carrying a concealed firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. He was arrested during a surveillance operation and was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. When police tried to pull the driver over, Stubbs ran out. He was later caught and arrested. Officers also found two handguns, one shotgun, one AR-15 rifle, 49 grams of cocaine and 13 grams of methamphetamine.
