The Model Laboratory boys basketball team rolled to a 86-26 win on the road Monday over Frankfort Christian.

Senior Adam Lewis had 26 points as the Patriots moved to 4-3 on the season with a second-straight victory.

Model led 29-0 after the first quarter and was up 53-10 at halftime.

The Patriots had 14 different players score.

Lewis was 11-of-13 from the field and also had three steals and two assists.

Ethan Ward had nine points. Nate Feese had seven points and six rebounds. Nick Lemieux and Francesco Zovi had six points each.

Luke Keck had five points. Chris Otieno, Matthew Frazier, Josh Barrick and John Frazier had four points each.

Camden Stamm, Cameron Webb and Ethan Bailey had three points each, while Bryson Perry had two points.

Malik Johnson had seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Model shot 53 percent from the field, hitting 11-of-29 from three-point range.

The Patriots are set to return to action today at home against East Jessamine.

Berea falls at Pineville

The Berea Community boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead, but couldn't hang on for a win Monday on the road.

Pineville battled back and picked up a 67-65 win over the Pirates (2-4). The loss snapped Berea's four-game winning streak.

The Pirates led 23-18 after the first quarter and were up 31-30. Berea had three players foul out.

Zane Brown had a team-best 21 points for the Pirates. Jarred Whitaker had 17 points. Triston Duckworth had seven points. Dylan Hanney had six points. Ben West had five points. Jaylen Dorsey had four points. Nick Harrison had three points and Will Brennan added two points.

Berea is set to return to action Friday at Calvary Christian.
