Sneak Peek: The New Station Row Luxury Apartments in Providence

Many of the brand-new apartments, adjacent to the Providence Train Station, are available for lease now.

From start to finish, Station Row grabbed the headlines. In 2016, it was the first project to land a Rebuild RI tax credit, Governor Gina Raimondo’s economic development program that’s contributed up to 30 percent of costs to qualifying Rhode Island projects. In all, the $55 million Station Row apartments project earned a credit of $5.6 million, plus a fifteen-year tax treaty with the city. Station Row sprouted amidst a flurry of news about a new intermodal transportation center, which would move RIPTA buses from Kennedy Plaza over to a vacant parcel of land adjacent to the train station. The transportation hub has since been put on hold, but Station Row chugged on.

When construction at Station Row was up and running, the building stood out in the skyline for its bright green construction materials. And now, after a few months of construction delays, the building — with 169 luxury studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom rentals — is ready for partial occupancy. Some apartments are available for rent now, while others won’t be ready until April 1. All new lease agreements beginning before June 1 include a free month of rent and three months of free onsite parking. An even better perk: Pets are allowed!

Here’s a sneak peek inside, as well as some of the many layouts available for rent:
