1. The fight against the NCAA sanctions is going all the way to the top.
Missouri senator Roy Blunt is the latest to get involved in the fight against the NCAA sanctions.
Via Twitter, Blunt announced that he sent a letter to the NCAA (he even @’ed them!) to re-evaluate the sanctions, before linking to the letter itself. The letter, on Senate letterhead and addressed to Mark Emmert (who, I believe, doesn’t have anything to do with the sanctions), was a more formal approach to a statement decrying the sanctions that Blunt previously issued.
The text of the letter is below:
My gut still doesn’t believe that anything outside of the recruiting sanctions will be overturned, but this Make It Right campaign run by Missouri seems to have galvanized more support than other schools previously facing sanctions.
Of course, when you’re being unfairly punished, it’s easy to find that support.
2. Missouri hoops offers top JUCO scorer
Missouri offered 6-foot-4 Dayton (Ohio) Sinclair C.C. SG Sean McNeil on Wednesday, he announced via Twitter:

McNeil is averaging 30.2 points per game as a freshman for Sinclair, shooting 48.6-percent from the field and 41.4-percent from 3-point range. He also recently picked up an offer from Texas Tech and claims 11 total offers, including Ole Miss and West Virginia.
3. Missouri football officially throws hat in ring for top 2021 in-state recruit.
Missouri is always more slow to offer in-state recruits — they’re not going to hand out un-committable offers to those players — but the Tigers finally offered 2021 Lutheran North (St. Louis) defensive end Travion Ford on Wednesday.

Ford is a big-time talent — remember, he’s just a sophomore — and already has 13 offers, including Alabama, Ohio State and LSU, among others. In addition to Missouri, Iowa seems to be after him the hardest at this early stage.
