Damn, folks are feelin’ good.

Make no mistake about it, Vols fans are feeling good about the direction of the program.

It’s a complete 180 from a month ago, when you could’ve swore that Neyland Stadium was just going to collapse itself and disappear into a void Poltergeist-style.

The Week 8 poll shows that 85% of fans are confident in the direction of the program. That’s up from 65 percent last week. Fans have noticed the improvement in Tennessee’s play. Confidence has risen each week since it plummeted to a season-low 17.4% in Week 4’s poll.

There’s a new sheriff in town when it comes to the top spot in the Rocky Top Talk weekly poll. LSU jumps Alabama after the Tigers flexed their muscle over the Bulldogs.

Wisconsin dropped all the way from 6th to 13th after the last-second loss to Illinois and losses by Missouri and Michigan have caused voters to kick them out of the Top 25.

San Diego State (24th) and Virginia Tech (25th) are this week’s newcomers.
