Tennessee in the hunt for 2020 four-star power forward Justin Lewis

Tennessee’s 2020 class is off to a roaring start with the commitment of five-star wing Corey Walker. That, coupled with the addition of 2019 five-star guard Josiah James, has Rick Barnes off and rolling on the recruiting trail.

The 2020 class is an important one for the Vols, who will be faced with replacing their core after the 2019-20 season. Grant Williams, Jordan Bone, Jordan Bowden and Lamonte Turner will each be out of the picture, leaving Tennessee with a ton of scoring to replace.

As Rick Barnes positions himself for that big 2020 class, Tennessee has cracked the top ten with a power forward prospect out of the Baltimore area. Justin Lewis, at 6-7, 225 pound forward, has included Tennessee in his “final 10.”

Tennessee joins UConn, UCF, Ohio State, Maryland, Marquette, Seton Hall, Purdue, West Virginia and West Virginia. Lewis is a four-star power forward prospect who checks in as the 104th ranked player in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports.

New Tennessee assistant coach Kim English is from the Baltimore area, if you’re searching for the Vols connection.

So far, Lewis has taken official visits to UCF and Maryland. He’s taken an unofficial visit to Marquette, also. With English now on the Tennessee staff, it’ll be interesting to see if the Vols can get Lewis down to Knoxville soon for a visit of their own.

Add Lewis to the list of 2020 names to monitor, which currently includes five-star prospects Jaden Springer and Walker Kessler, along with four-star prospects Keon Johnson, Matthew Murrell and P.J. Hall.
