TEN Ross and Cromarty restaurants have proven they are a cut above the competition after they were named among the finalists in this year’s 2019 Restaurant Awards - Scottish Edition.
The popular eateries will find out if they have won at a glittering black-tie ceremony in Glasgow at the end of the month.
Top thriving restaurants and eateries from across Scotland will gather together for a celebration of the establishments that are considered as the best in the country.
During the ceremony, the list with the top 100 restaurants will be revealed as voted for by the public and will receive a certificate of excellence. However, only 20 of them will get the trophies home.
“These awards aim to reflect the food experience as well as service excellence, ambience, quality and variety of choices that the restaurants in Scotland have to offer,” said a spokesman for the awards.
“All finalists should feel proud of themselves as it is their diners who put them forward to get the recognition they deserve. These finalists represent the gold standard of the restaurants that operate in the country, whose lively atmosphere and fantastic skill can crown them winners.
“We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck and we are looking forward to welcoming all our guests at the ceremony and celebrating the winners with them.”
The 10 restaurants to make the final shortlist in Ross and Cromarty are:
Coul House Hotel Restaurant (Contin), Gille Brighde Restaurant (Lower Diabaig), Greens Restaurant (Tain), IV10 Cafe Bar Deli (Fortrose), Kishorn Seafood Bar (Kishorn), Plockton Shores and Coffee Shop (Plockton), Red Poppy Restaurant (Strathpeffer), The Oystercatcher (Portmahomack), The Storehouse (Evanton), Waterside Seafood Restaurant (Kyle of Lochalsh).
