The case against Iain Vigurs relates to an incident at a city nightsport earlier this year.

Vigurs (31) of Bridgend Court, Dingwall, is charged with assaulting a door steward at Johnny Foxes pub in Inverness on February 3 by punching him on the head

It is alleged that he then resisted arrest by struggling with two police officers and also attempted to headbutt one of them.

Vigurs was not present at today's hearing and the case was continued without plea to August 15.
