Ross County co-manager Steven Ferguson expects Partick Thistle to be just as desperate for all three points as they are when the clubs meet tomorrow.
Partick currently sit in ninth place in the Championship, which would put them in the relegation play-off at the end of the season.
The Staggies meanwhile are flying high at the top of the table, and if Dundee United fail to beat Ayr United tonight they could win the league with a win.
Though Ferguson says he will be keeping an eye on events at Somerset Park later on, he says County’s preparation has been the same it always is for tomorrow’s match.
“We know there’s the game on Friday night, we can’t influence it but of course we’ll be watching – but our focus doesn’t change,” Ferguson insisted.
“Whatever happens tonight, we need three points on Saturday.
“This one is an easy one for us, the three points is a must if we want to get to where we want to go.
“Our thinking and preparation won’t change, we look forward to Partick.
“With Alloa winning on Tuesday, that’s just as an important three points for the bottom end of the table as our three points was for the top.
“Partick will come up here knowing that they’re running out of games and they need three points.
“It’s set up well for a good game of football, with two teams desperate to get the points.”
