Caberfeidh challenged to cope without Kevin

JODI Gorski is challenging Caberfeidh’s forwards to prove they can perform without the presence of Scotland international Kevin Bartlett this weekend.

Cabers play their last Premiership match tomorrow before tackling Newtonmore in the Strathpeffer club’s first Camanachd Cup semi final in 56 years.

With influential Bartlett suspended, coach Gorski is intrigued to see whether the absence fazes or fires up fellow front players for the home tussle with mid-table rivals Kyles Athletic.

Currently blazing a trail in goalscoring form is 23-year-old Craig Morrison, the top league scorer with 15 goals this season, having struck in every one of the last 13 matches.

But Gorski wants to see if Morrison and team-mates can still perform to their highest capabilities without Bartlett in what is an important league test.
