Ross Sutherland's heads held high after derby defeat

Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann says the enthusiasm of the younger players at the club helped soften the blow of last week’s derby defeat.
In their last game of the season, Ross Sutherland lost 62-0 to runaway Caledonia North Two champions Highland 2nd XV.
It was a disappointing defeat, but Mann says the Stags’ young side kept their heads held high and were determined to come back stronger next year.
“I’ve been playing senior rugby for 10 years and I think this is the first time we’ve ever put out a younger team than Highland,” Mann suspected.
“I asked a few of the older members of the club to have a yarn with the team after the match, and most of what they said was that Highland were just more experienced.
“The fact that some of our boys went away holding their heads high, I was quite happy."
