MARYBURGH are bidding to make it through to the last four of the Highland Amateur Cup for the second year running when they face defending champions Pentland United on Saturday.
The Ross-shire side suffered a set-back earlier this week when they lost 3-0 to Loch Ness in the top of the table clash in the Inverness and District Amateur Premiership.
However, manager James Logie is confident his side can rise to the occasion against the Caithness heavyweights.
He said: “Pentland United are the defending champions and I expect them to be right up for it.
“We will have to match them all the way.
“But we are capable of beating anyone, especially on our own ground.
“Hopefully we can give them a good game.”
Maryburgh will be without Blair Morrison and Liam Symonds due to shinty commitments. But Ryan Dow will hopefully make a return.
Six-time winners, Avoch also have home advantage when they take on Sleat and Strath.
The Skye and Lochalsh outfit have been in fine form of late.
Avoch manager Martyn MacAllister expects a tough test for his side when the two teams meet at Coronation Park on Saturday.
He said: “There are no easy games at this stage of the competition.
“We are expecting a really tough match against Sleat and Strath.
“They are a very decent side and our attitude will have to be right.”
Stuart Leslie is ineligible to play for Avoch this weekend.
While Jordan Knight who has recently rejoined the club, is cup tied for the clash.
In the other two quarter final ties, 2017 finalists Staxigoe United from Caithness will take on Whitedale who are the final representatives from Shetland left in the competition.
While three time winners Wick Groats will clash with Castletown in a Caithness derby.
