John Mann says the prospect of poor conditions will not stop Ross Sutherland playing a good brand of rugby at Garioch on Saturday.
The Stags have scored four tries in each of their last two games, which have both come against teams higher up in the league table than them.
That is the result of a concerted effort to try to improve their attacking play.
So although muddy pitches in wet weather is not conducive to free-flowing rugby, Mann says they will not change their style even if the rain of recent weeks continues.
“Aberdeenshire always gets a bit iffy with weather, so it’s probably going to be a bit of a quagmire,” he said.
