Ross County and Partick Thistle could not be separated as the Scottish Championship match between the two in Dingwall ended in a stalemate.
The first half was a scrappy one, with the game largely being played in the middle of the park.
County did have the majority of possession, but most of their passes were square and that meant finding a way through Partick's stout defence was tricky.
It was actually the visitors who saw the first sights of goal, as after 16 minutes they found space on the left side and crossed for Shea Gordon.
Gordon did not connect perfectly with his shot, but it was still enough to get a shot on target and Scott Fox was forced to dive low to his left to make the stop.
Then came a couple of chances where Thistle players went past a few County defenders but dragged shots wide – first Scott McDonald from distance and then Blair Spittal inside the box with the best chance of the half.
The Staggies then started to come into the equation more in front of goal, but they were still restricted to shots from distance.
Michael Gardyne's effort from 20 yards wasn't too far over the bar, but Sean Kelly's free kick from 25 yards never troubles Jamie Sneddon in the Thistle net.
Ross Stewart then dropped deep to pick up the ball, and he let fly with a speculative effort from distance.
It was going into the top corner until Sneddon got in the way, but although he initially fumbled it there was no home player close enough to take advantage and the Partick keeper quickly took the ball back into his grasp.
The second half was largely more of the same, with clear cut chances in front of goal few and far betwee.
The Staggies did have a claim for a penalty though in the 68th minute when Steven Anderson bundled Ross Stewart over inside the Partick box.
It was a 50/50 call, and on this occasion the referee veered away from pointing to the spot.
McDonald saw a shot deflected with just under 10 minutes to go, but it was deflected and Fox managed to hold on.
They continued to put late pressure on County when Anderson held off Kelly inside the County box and volleyed towards goal, forcing Fox into a good save.
County managed to steady the ship, but could not threaten the goal as the match ended in a stalemate.
