THE Bishop of Salisbury, Nicholas Holtam, has visited the Muslim Association of Salisbury at their mosque in Wilton Road, at the time of Friday prayers. He was accompanied by the vicar of St Paul’s Church, the Revd Craig Ryalls, in whose parish the mosque is located; the Revd Canon Guy Wilkinson, Bishop's Adviser for Inter-Religious Affairs; and Canon Bill Cave, Senior Chaplain to Wiltshire Police.

Bishop Nicholas was warmly welcomed by the trustees and invited to speak to the gathering. He was presented with an inscribed plaque and stayed to observe the prayers, before chatting with members afterwards.

Bishop Nicholas said: “I was so pleased to be able to visit the Association at their mosque and to offer my congratulations and appreciation for the remarkable contributions to the life of Salisbury made by members, particularly in business, hospitality, civic life and not least to the diversity of our religious life in the city.”
