THE Mill pub is set to reopen in spring 2019, a year on since the pub closed its doors.

Despite the pub being handed back to Greene King in August, the team has decided to use the next five months to enhance the appearance of the building before it reopens.

Plans are soon to be submitted to Wiltshire Council, seeking approval to develop both the inside and outside of the building.

Pub bosses hope to improve the existing Mill, while maintaining the building’s heritage.

Andrea Greenwood, operations manager for The Mill, said the closure has given the team the opportunity and time to refurbish the venue, adding: “We hope the changes we are proposing will allow for The Mill to come back as an even stronger addition to Salisbury city centre, making it the best pub it can possibly be for the city.”

If approved the work will begin in January, with the pub hoping to relaunch in either March or April.
