SALISBURY City Council is going to be developing its neighbourhood development plan.

Residents and business owners are invited to find out more on Wednesday, February 27, 6.30pm-8.30pm, in the Guildhall.

The city council started preparing its neighbourhood plan almost a year ago but it was put on hold due to the Novichok incident in March. Now, the council says it is starting afresh and has already put in place new arrangements.

The plan is a town planning policy document that is prepared by the community to direct how future development will occur.

Salisbury City Council is working alongside Wiltshire Council on the recovery strategy for Salisbury.

The event will brief the public on how the council plan to undertake and develop the two year project and to invite community members to become part of the steering group to oversee the process.
