HISTORY and heritage will be celebrated next month.
Salisbury History Festival returns for a second year and runs from August 22 to 26.
This year’s event will feature a number of different events including a talk on Fisherton executions, presentations on early Market Place shops, crime, punishment and health care.
In addition to this there will be four Salisbury stage and screen presentations, Secret Spitfire feature film, guided walks of Old Inns, The re-Trial of Constance Kent, historical Salisbury film footage including the 1919 Peace Pageant and much more.
Salisbury History Festival organiser Frogg Moody, pictured, said: “We are building on from the success of last year’s event with 27 people taking part and a dedicated team of volunteers helping out. The funding from Wiltshire Council has also been a great help.”
The 2019 festival follows on from the success of the inaugural event.
